Research Trainees

INTERESTED IN A CAREER IN WILDLIFE CONSERVATION, ECOLOGY OR ZOO RESEARCH FOLLOWING YOUR DEGREE?

CIRCLE offers highly competitive annual research internships based at Flamingo Land, providing early-career researchers with training in research methods, and an opportunity to design and execute their own scientific study. Interns also gain practical experience in transferable skills such as statistical analysis, developing peer-reviewed papers, fund-raising, and presenting at conferences. The internships have been highly successful in kick-starting the careers of young conservationists (see our Trainee career destinations).

CIRCLE Research Interns can specialise in one of five research areas:

(1)    Monitoring biodiversity conservation (UK)

(2)    Monitoring biodiversity conservation (Tanzania)

(3)    Evaluating the role of zoos

(4)    Improving animal welfare

(5)    Quantifying environmental education by zoos

Our Research Intern positions run annually from October to September. Details will appear below each year. Please e-mail info@circle-conservation.org for more information.
